• The Student-Athlete Leadership Council is hosting a Student-Athlete Leadership Conference on Friday, March 11, 2021. All freshman, sophomores, and juniors interested in attending should speak to their local school athletics specialist (AD). 
• MCPS Athletics will send two student-athlete representatives to the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) Student Leadership Summit in Indianapolis, Indiana, July 18-20. All interested student-athletes should email Elizabeth_K_Green@mcpsmd.org.

State Championship Wrap-up

• Congratulations to the Poolesville High School Golf team for winning the 2021-22 2A State Championship! 
• Congratulations to the 1A/2A State Golf Champion, Miss Olivia Cong of Poolesville High School!
• Congratulations to the Walt Whitman High School girls’ soccer team for winning the 2021-22 4A State Championships!
• Congratulations to the 4A State Cross Country Champion, Miss Varri Higgins of Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School and to the 2A State Cross Country Champion, Miss Daisy Dastrup of Poolesville High School.
