Help Students In Need by Donating to GIVE BACKpacks Campaign

Join us as we kick off the 12th annual MCPS GIVE BACKpacks campaign to raise funds and support the distribution of backpacks and school supplies to students in MCPS schools. As a result of supply chain issues and inflation, backpacks have increased in price from $15 to $20. Not all students have the materials needed to learn at home or many families struggle to afford to purchase them. A $20 donation can provide a student with school supplies, which includes paper, crayons, pencils/pens, a pencil sharpener, binders, folders and more. Help spread the word about GIVE BACKpacks by sharing the campaign flyer with colleagues, family, friends and faith-based organizations and community members. Every donation helps a student in need. Donations are tax deductible. MCPS places orders throughout the summer with a goal of providing as many students as possible with a backpack and school supplies at the start of the school year. June, July and August are critical months to fundraise and place orders. This year, MCPS has set a goal to raise $300,000 to purchase backpacks and school supplies for students across our school system. Learn more about Give BACKpacks.
