The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) will offer a four-graduate course post-baccalaureate certificate (PBC) in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. The certificate program is designed primarily for elementary, middle and high school teachers who hold initial certification in a content area other than ESOL and who teach or will teach English Language Learners. Successful completion of the PBC will prepare candidates for the ESOL PRAXIS for the add-on certification endorsement. Information about the PBC is available here. Hood College offers graduate certificate and master’s degree pathways for Educational Leadership leading to Administrator I certification.
