NCAA Eligibility Center to Host Information Night Dec. 4

Calling all coaches, students and parents/caregivers of student athletes: MCPS Athletics and the NCAA Eligibility Center are hosting a virtual information night from 6:30–8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 4.

Ivorye Long, assistant director of outreach and strategic partnerships for the NCAA Eligibility Center, will host the Zoom session. Long is a former high school teacher and track and field coach. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Indianapolis, where she was a two-sport student-athlete in track and field, and soccer. Long hopes that her passion of supporting student-athletes as they go through the process of NCAA initial eligibility will inspire students to pursue academics and athletics at the collegiate level.
