Tickets Now Available for Lunar New Year Banquet on Feb. 6

Tickets are now on sale for the Lunar New Year scholarship dinner, set for 6–8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Hong Kong Pearl Seafood Restaurant (formerly New Fortune Restaurant), 16515 South Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg (Walnut Hill Shopping Center). The snow date is Thursday, Feb. 8.
This year’s scholarship dinner, presented by the League of Educators for Asian American Progress (LEAAP), is a scholarship fundraiser for Asian Pacific American high school seniors interested in pursuing a degree in education. This year’s event celebrates the Year of the Dragon.
Individual tickets are $50. Tables for 10 are also available for purchase. Sponsorships ($600, $700, $800 and $1,000 levels) are also available.
