IRS Increases 2024 Mileage Reimbursement Rate to 67 Cents

The Internal Revenue Service announced that beginning Jan. 1, 2024, the standard mileage rate for the business use of an automobile will be 67 cents a mile, an increase of 1.5 cents per mile from the current 65.5 cent rate. All mileage reimbursement requests from MCPS employees for mileage incurred on or after Jan. 1, 2024, will be processed using the 67-cent rate.
