Student dancers from 10 schools boogied and showed off their moves during the annual Dance Showcase on Feb. 12. Students from the following schools performed: A. Mario Loiederman, Kingsview and White Oak middle schools and Albert Einstein, Bethesda-Chevy Chase, James Hubert Blake, John F. Kennedy, Northwood, Rockville and Wheaton high schools. There was also a performance from the All-County Dance Ensemble. Check out the photo gallery.

Sherwood High School baseball coach Sean Davis has been selected the Maryland State Association of Baseball Coaches' District 2 Coach of the Year.
Congratulations to Winston Churchill High School coach Stephen Sutherland and the Bulldogs for winning the 2024 bocce county championship.

County Council Recognizes Blair Social Studies Teacher
The Montgomery County Council recently recognized Montgomery Blair High School social studies teacher Kenneth Smith for helping to develop and teach the Hip Hop History and Culture course, which is also offered at Bethesda-Chevy Chase and Rockville high schools. The recognition was part of a commemoration of Black History Month, during which the council highlighted how African Americans have impacted visual arts, dance, music, fashion, folklore, language, film, cultural movements and more.
