Two MCPS Media Specialists Named Finalists for State Award

Lisa Hack from Silver Spring International Middle School, and Melissa King from Flower Hill Elementary School are finalists for the 2024 Maryland School Librarian of the Year award. The recognition honors a school librarian for exemplary service and outstanding achievements in the field of school library media. They are two of 11 finalists from the state of Maryland.

Three MCPS library media specialists from MCPS have earned the award in recent years:  Dr. Sheri Anita Massey (2023), Irene Allaire (2019), and Tracy Jeffcott (2018).
