Get to know your teams!

Divisions are based on geography and traditional rivalries. Divisions are named in honor of the groundbreaking efforts of our student-athletes with bringing girls’ flag football to MCPS, along with the inspiring, historical accomplishments of female athletes - Trailblazers, Innovators, Dreamers, and Pioneers.

There will be a varsity team champion in each division. The champion will be the school with the best win/loss record against all division opponents. In the event of a tie, the team that has defeated the team(s) with which it is tied will be the champion. If there is still a tie, there will be co-champions. Each division champion will receive a trophy.

Additional information is available on the Girls’ Flag Football website, including an overview of the season schedule.

Last spring, MCPS announced that girls’ flag football would be piloted through a partnership with the Baltimore Ravens and Under Armour, joining Baltimore City and Frederick and Washington counties as pioneers in the state of Maryland.
