Students Enjoy a Visit From International Soccer Player

Students at Rolling Terrace Elementary School got the chance to spend a summer afternoon with professional soccer star Luis Palma. Palma is a Honduran footballer who plays on the Scottish Premiership club Celtic and the Honduras national team. 

The effort was organized by the Maryland State Youth Soccer Association(MSYSA) through its Let’s Play! Program. MSYSA, is designed to transform the lives of participants that helps to teach social, emotional and team working skills while always aiming to grow excitement around soccer. The program is offered exclusively to Title 1 and Community Schools across Maryland.

The students were able to play with Palma, ask questions about the game and learn a few skills.
