At just 14 years old, Philip PremDas—known on stage as Philly2Fly—has accomplished what most dancers only dream of. This James Hubert Blake High School student recently completed a festive run performing on "Mariah Carey’s Christmas Time Tour," which hit 20 cities across the U.S.

PremDas was one of only five young dancers selected for this prestigious national tour and the only one from the Washington, D.C., area, according to a press release.

"It was very, very fun," said PremDas, who has been dancing since he was 5 years old. "Being on stage almost every night. You know, in front of thousands and thousands of people."

PremDas, who is signed with Bloc Agency (NY and LA) for commercial dance and print work, received the opportunity to audition for the tour in LA.

He was signed by the agency after dancing at national competitions and hip-hop conventions, including Monsters Dance, which has a highly competitive and rigorous selection process, and is one of the premier conventions for both youth and adult dancers.

The 9th grade student maintains a 3.8 GPA, balancing school with his devotion to dance by completing assignments after rehearsals and collaborating closely with his teachers.

He has achieved first place wins in regional hip-hop competitions. PremDas is also a two-time national champion in solo and duet categories. Additionally, he earned scholarships at the Monsters and KAOS hip-hop dance conventions in Reston, Virginia, and was selected as one of only nine youths aged 14 and under for the 2024 Monsters of Hip Hop Show – The Vision.

PremDas has trained with some of the industry’s biggest names, including Debbie Allen, Luam Keflezgy, and the Les Twins.

"I'm very proud of him," said his father, also named Philip PremDas. "I think his story is one that will inspire other kids.”

PremDas aspires to become a world-touring professional artist, choreographer and hip-hop dancer, with a dream of sharing the stage with Chris Brown.
