Students in the Automotive Trades Foundation (ATF) program at Thomas Edison High School of Technology, and Damascus, Gaithersburg and Seneca Valley high schools got an exclusive look at the future of the automotive industry during the Washington, D.C. Auto Show’s Student Day.
Hosted by the Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association (WANADA), the event featured local industry leaders who shared their career stories and insights into emerging technologies and alternative fuel sources.
More than 200 ATF students explored innovative cars, experienced hands-on demonstrations and gained a unique outlook on the automotive future. After lunch provided by Toyota and WANADA, they had the chance to visit autoexhibits and network with industry professionals.
"It was a great opportunity for students to connect with local automotive leaders, explore new career possibilities and visualize the possibilities of their future," said Steve Boden, Montgomery County Student Foundations Supervisor.
