2024 8th Grade Events
The end of the school year is fast approaching, and we have a lot planned for our 8th grade students in the coming weeks.

Thursday, May 30 - Capstone Showcase from 6:00-7:30 at Argyle
Monday, June 3 - Friday, June 7 - 8th Grade Spirit Week
Tuesday, June 4 - 8th Grade Main Event Permission Slips Due
Thursday, June 6 - 8th Grade Dance from 3:30-5:30 at Argyle
Friday, June 7 - 8th Grade Field Day during 6th Period
Friday, June 7 - Promotion Tickets Distributed during 8th Period (Two Tickets per Student)
Monday, June 10 - 8th Grade Yearbook Signing during 3rd Period
Tuesday, June 11 - 8th Grade Trip to Main Event in Columbia (9:30-2:15)
Wednesday, June 12 - 8th Grade Promotion at 10:00 at Kennedy High School
The Promotion Ceremony is the culminating event for our 8th grade students on June 12 at 10:00. Each student will be allowed to bring a maximum of two guests to the ceremony due to space restrictions at Kennedy High School. The event will also be streamed live on our YouTube channel for those unable to attend in person.
Students are responsible for arranging transportation to and from the promotion ceremony. We have limited transportation available for students with unique circumstances; please reach out to Ms. Cortney Chao should you need assistance with this. We will also excuse all students from school in the afternoon of June 12 to allow time for students and caregivers to celebrate together.
