Optional Summer Learning

We know that many families enjoy having resources to use over the summer to review this past school year’s learning and/or preview the upcoming learning for the new school year. We hope the resources shared below will help you maintain or extend your child’s learning. Please note that all activities and resources are optional.

Bells Mill Bingo ~ Summer Literacy Edition (K-2)

Calling all rising first and second graders! We want you to play BINGO with us! This summer, complete your reading AND writing BINGO board. You can turn it into Mrs. Abramson for a prize if you finish the entire board! Each activity will need an initial from your caregiver.

Turn your completed boards into Mrs. Abramson during the first week of school for a popsicle party!

Remember to read and write your way through the summer vacation!!

Summer Book Club (3-5)

Join Mrs. Abramson and Mrs. Kemp this summer as we go on a journey with “Wild Robot”. Your rising 3rd, 4th, or 5th grader is invited to join our Bells Mill summer book club! We have had great success in the past and we are looking forward to reading and discussing “Wild Robot” with your child! There are two zoom check-in meetings. July 15th and August 12th! It is a great way for your child to get motivated to read over the summer. We get to see one another over zoom, too! Our last book club meeting will be in person in the Fall!  Please see the sign up and flier for more information!
