The School

Blake High School is a public high school that serves approximately 1,900 students in grades 9-12. 
 
Our student body is approximately 39% Black or African American, 35% Hispanic/Latino, 11% White, 10% Asian, Less than 4% Multiple Races,  less than 5% American Indian or Alaskan Native, and less than 5% Other Pacific Islander.  
 
Blake offers a comprehensive academic program with a signature program for Arts and Humanities. A variety of courses in visual arts, dance, music, theater, contemporary arts, and humanities courses are available to students. Blake students also have the opportunity to take rigorous courses through honors-designated courses and over 20 Advanced Placement offerings.

The Community

Blake High School is located in a suburban community 15 miles north of Washington, D.C. and serves an income diverse community. The suburban population is a mixture of older established communities and areas with newer housing developments.

The Northeast Consortium

Blake High School is one of three high schools in the Northeast Consortium. Each school offers a comprehensive high school curriculum and a distinctive signature program focusing on particular areas of study. Students residing within the Northeast Consortium may select the high school they attend.
