SUMMER INSTITUTE AT WOOTTON HS 

Thomas S. Wootton HS and MCPS have planned a wide range of summer programs. At the high school level, there will be a wide range of opportunities to earn high school credits in all subject areas required for graduation, for both repeat and original credit, as well as non-credit options in local schools.  Below you will find information about our Summer Institute (both in-person and virtual options) and the MCPS Virtual Summer School Program

CHURCHILL HS LOCAL SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAM

We are excited to announce our FREE in-person Local Summer Program which will take place this summer. This will be an in-person learning experience which will provide both credit-bearing and enrichment courses free of charge to all students. Please see our local summer program brochure to find important information about the program. Please note, there are links in the brochure that families may use to register for the program. It is important that students register for their course(s) by June 1st. MCPS CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER PROGRAM

The 2021 Central High School Summer Program (CHSSP) has a range of blended (synchronous and asynchronous) offerings, including core courses, ESOL, Career Technology Education, Health Education, World Language, and Fine Arts. Students can take a course for grade replacement, grade improvement, or in some instances, original credit.

CHSSP consists of two sessions:

  • Session 1: June 28 - July 16 (no school July 5)

  • Session 2: July 19 - August 6 (no school July 26)
