Amanda Cheatham, 4th grade teacher, Center for Enriched Studies I am so excited to be teaching at Chevy Chase! I got my master's degree in teaching from Johns Hopkins University and my undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego in Political Science and Communication. I have three beautiful children that also attend MCPS schools. I am a huge animal lover and have a dog and a cat as family members as well. I also foster animals over the summer when I have a little more free time. My favorite activities are reading (I love historical fiction), running, traveling, and just generally being outside. I'm looking forward to a great year! |

Bridget Prego, 4th grade teacher, Team Leader I’m originally from Pennsylvania and moved to this area in 2006 to start my teaching career in MCPS. I have my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Penn State and a Master’s degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment from Walden University. I have taught in grades 2-5 and absolutely love being a part of the Chevy Chase community! I currently live in Bethesda and enjoy walking around town. Ashley Slepitza, 4th grade teacher Hello! After receiving my bachelor's degree in elementary education from University of Maryland in 2011, I began my teaching journey. I have had the pleasure teaching both 2nd and 4th grade. While teaching, I obtained my master’s degree in elementary mathematics and reading from Walden University in 2016. When I am not teaching, I enjoy cuddling with my dog, reading the next book-turned-movie, obsessing over Harry Potter, and going on adventures with my husband. I am excited for my year at CCES and can't wait to make long lasting memories. |

Yena Suh, 4th grade teacher Hello! I'm Yena Suh, a bilingual third grade teacher. I majored in Elementary Education at the University of Maryland, with an emphasis in Mathematics. I love traveling to new places and cooking, so I became CELTA certified in hopes that I'd put it to good use one day! When I'm not obsessed with teaching third graders, I love to spend time with family and friends, and taking my dog Cooper on a nice long walk. Let's get ready for a fun year of learning! |
