MCPS Elementary School Counseling Services

The school counseling program is designed to assist students with developmentally appropriate knowledge and skills in five key areas: academic, personal, interpersonal, career, and health. The school counselor facilitates class lessons, which may include topics such as mindfulness, Growth Mindset, team-building, conflict resolution, empathy, career exploration, and middle school transition. Additionally, the school counselor works with small groups and individual students. Teachers, families, or students may make referrals for specific concerns to the school counselor. Except in rare circumstances, the issues that students discuss with the school counselor will remain confidential.

Aline Anders, School Counselor
I love being s school counselor! I'm originally from NYC and have a bachelor's degree in education and master's degree in School Counseling. Outside of school, I enjoy photography, riding my peloton bike and spending time on Martha's Vineyard. I'm excited to be a part of the CCES family!
