Our Goal

    As a group we are committed to enforcing web standards. We have written the site in such a manner to make it usable and accessible. In addition, we want the DHS school website to be a resource for all who visit it.

    Who are we?

    The Damascus High School Webteam consists of students and staff.

    Mr. Hanson is the director of the DHS AOIT program as well as being the head of the Computer Maintenance Strand.  He teaches Computer Maintenance and Repair, and Networking courses at Damascus High School.

    EkTron is the CMS used for this and most other MCPS school websites.

    The Google Maps API is used to find, retrieve, and display the map data on the map and directions page.

    The Google Search API is used to power the DHS search (currently not available in IE6). Search results come directly from Google, we do not filter results.
