Prior to completing this form, please review all the Summer School information on the MCPS Summer School Website. 
 
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 
  • Summer School registration is open from April 3-May 29 (session 1), June 27 (session 2)
    • Because counselors have to individually input all requests, these deadlines are one day earlier to ensure accurate processing 
  • Session 1 Dates: June 30-July 18; Session 2 Dates: July 22-August 8
  • Summer Graduation: August 14 at Gaithersburg High School 
    • Summer Graduation Rehearsal: August 13 at Gaithersburg High School 
  • In-person summer school will be held at Gaithersburg High School 8:30-12:30pm
  • Virtual Summer school will be held online via zoom and either Edmentum or Canvas platforms and will have early and late offerings. Time offerings can be found on the Summer School Website 
  • Students may take up to two courses per session. 
  • Payments will be billed through School Cash Online and must be paid 10 days prior to the start of the summer session. 
  • In-person payment (cash or money order) can be made at 850 Hungerford Dr. Rockville, MD no later than July 7 at 3:00pm
    • Full Tuition: $364.25/half credit (family income $57,721+)
    • Tuition Waiver Tier 1: $145.75/half credit (family income $40,560-$57,720)
    • Tuition Waiver Tier 2: $102/half credit (family income $0-$40,599)
  • Course retakes to redeem lost credit will be free of charge while courses taken for original credit/advancement/grade replacement will incur a fee.
  • Partial Tuition Waivers are available. They can be found online or in-person at your local High School. Please send the completed form to your student's counselor for processing. 
  • Refunds can be requested by completing the Summer School Refund Request Form
