This video was conceived by the GMS You Have the Power! Club with an original song "Lost."  Lyrics and music written by the students.  Produced by Project Change and funded by the Trawick Foundation.

Summer Bus Transportation 

We look forward to seeing your child for GMS summer school. The program begins on July 8th at 8:00 AM and concludes at 3:00 PM. All students should report to the cafeteria when they arrive at school. MCPS bus transportation is attached. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. Rising 6th graders for GMS Summer Orientation

Please join us for one of Gaithersburg Middle Schools sixth grade student orientation sessions this summer.  Come and tour the building, practice opening a locker, and meet some current GMS students and staff. We want all our incoming sixth grade students to attend one session this summer!

Mandatory Immunization for incoming 7th graders

Mandatory immunization requirements for incoming 7th graders are Meningococcal (MCV) and Tdap.  More information in English and Spanish.

MCPS Summer Food Program

Thousands of children will have access to free, nutritious meals at more than 120 sites in the county, thanks to the MCPS Summer Food Service Program.  More information on the MCPS website and on the flyer.

The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) has released a new accountability report card for every school in the state of Maryland. The Maryland State Department of Education has posted the results of the 2017 Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) and the High School Assessments on the Maryland Report Card website. Results of Radon Testing at GMS - March 2019 Update

Family Life Unit Now Opt-Out instead of Opt-In

A parent permission form is no longer required to take family life or disease prevention and control unit in 7th and 8th grade.  If you wish to opt your son or daughter out of this portion of the health curriculum, parents must return a signed form to the health teacher.   If the form is not returned it is assumed that the student will participate in both the family life and disease prevention and control unit.
