Dr. Fuller, Principal

Galway Principal Honored by Counselors’ Association

Dorothea Fuller, principal at Galway Elementary School, is among those who will be honored by the Maryland School Counselor Association on Friday, April 8, at its annual recognition gala. Dr. Fuller will be recognized as Administrator of the Year

I am honored to serve as Principal  at Galway Elementary. I’m very excited to have the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful community of parents, staff, and students here at Galway!

I live in Columbia, Maryland with my husband, Andrew and my youngest daughter Julia, who is a sophomore at the University of Maryland, College Park. I like to read, collect tea cups, and spend time with my family.

My teaching experiences include Head Start, elementary school, middle school, and high school. I began my MCPS career as an elementary school counselor, and then became a Pupil Personnel Worker. Upon completing certification as a school administrator at Towson University, I became the assistant principal at Sherwood High School for four years. That was a rewarding experience, but I wanted to go back to the foundation, where I started my career, the elementary school. I was fortunate to be assigned as the assistant principal at Olney Elementary for the past four years.

My core belief is that all children can reach their highest potential as we prepare them for twenty-first century challenges. I am looking forward to becoming a partner with you in your commitment to academic excellence. Together, we can achieve great things with and for our children. Please feel free to contact me at school or stop by my office.
