Weekly Update for the Week of March 31, 2025

Good evening Cavalier Families. This is Ms. Adamson–Proud Principal of Kennedy High School–with your March 31st weekly update!

There is no school for students tomorrow, Monday, March 31st. It is a grading and reporting day for teachers. The 4th marking period begins on Tuesday, April 1st!

The All-County Art Show starts this Tuesday, April 1st and goes through April 6th at the Wheaton Mall. Please make sure you visit the mall to check out the artistic submissions of our talented students.

The National Honor Society Pinning Ceremony is Wednesday, April 2nd at Kennedy in the Wellness Commons. Please come out and see our brilliant scholars as they are inducted in the NHS.

The next Family Market is this Friday, April 4th at 2:30, just in front of the Kennedy auditorium. Please remember to bring your own bags.

The Spring Musical, “It’s Gonna Be Fine,” is this Friday and Saturday, April 4th and 5th in the Kennedy auditorium. The show starts at 7:30 PM. Tickets are only $5.00. Please come out and support our students as they perform a variety or music from popular productions.

The make-up SAT is Wednesday, April 9th. Juniors should have received an email update regarding their make-up. Please see assistant principal, Ms. Rodgers, with any other questions.

Seniors and parents of seniors, please make sure we have the measurements for every senior’s cap and gown. Graduation is June 11th, but preparations are happening now. Please make sure your senior has taken care of providing this information.

We are continuing our practice of Hall Sweeps when students are late to class. Students who are tardy will receive a lunch detention when they are late to class. Please help by getting your student to school on time and by encouraging them to go straight to class when the bell rings.

Please continue to remind your students to wear their ID everyday (to avoid being charged for a new one).  Remember that we are a closed campus, and the IDs help us to ensure that only our students are in the building, especially during lunch.

Thank you all for your support; and remember, we are stronger together.
