Weekly Update for the Week of June 10, 2024

Good evening Cavalier Families. This is Ms. Adamson–Proud Principal of Kennedy High School–with your June 10th weekly update!
School is almost out for the year, and this is the last weekly update for the 23-24 school year.
We will deliver a public address announcement during school on either Monday or Tuesday about restorative justice and conflict resolution. We want to make sure that students see ways other than fighting to resolve conflict. We encourage families to continue conversations with students and investigate positive activities and options for students over the summer. We will post options on the website as they become available. If students are not working summer jobs, look for volunteer opportunities, where students can complete their SSL requirement.
This Tuesday, June 11th, during lunch we will offer Kona Ice to students. Students can enjoy this refreshing treat on behalf of the administrative team to end the school year on a sweet note.
Our yearbooks have arrived. We have a special signing day for graduating seniors in the class of 24 on Wednesday, June 12th, which will be in the Wellness Center commons area. Seniors should enter and exit the school through the Wellness Commons and should not plan to be in other parts of the building. Underclassmen will get yearbooks on Wednesday and Thursday during lunch.
There are no more Family Markets scheduled for this school year at Kennedy. We will post locations of other Family Markets that will continue this summer on the school website. Please check the Kennedy’s web page to see when and where the next market will be.
This Thursday, June 13th is a half day and the last day of school for students.

Buenas noches familias Cavalier. ¡Esta es la Sra. Adamson, orgullosa directora de Kennedy High School, con su actualización semanal del 10 de junio!
Las clases casi terminan este año y esta es la última actualización semanal para el año escolar 23-24.
Entregaremos un anuncio público durante la escuela el lunes o martes sobre la justicia restaurativa y la resolución de conflictos. Queremos asegurarnos de que los estudiantes vean otras formas además de luchar para resolver conflictos. Alentamos a las familias a continuar las conversaciones con los estudiantes e investigar actividades y opciones positivas para los estudiantes durante el verano. Publicaremos opciones en el sitio web a medida que estén disponibles. Si los estudiantes no tienen trabajos de verano, busque oportunidades de voluntariado, donde los estudiantes puedan completar su requisito de SSL.
Este martes 11 de junio, durante el almuerzo ofreceremos Kona Ice a los estudiantes. Los estudiantes pueden disfrutar de este refrescante regalo en nombre del equipo administrativo para terminar el año escolar con una nota dulce.
Nuestros anuarios han llegado. Tenemos un día especial de firmas para los estudiantes del último año de la clase de 24 que se gradúan el miércoles 12 de junio, que será en el área común del Centro de Bienestar. Los estudiantes del último año deben entrar y salir de la escuela a través de Wellness Commons y no deben planear estar en otras partes del edificio. Los estudiantes de primer año recibirán los anuarios los miércoles y jueves durante el almuerzo.
No hay más Mercados Familiares programados para este año escolar en Kennedy. Publicaremos las ubicaciones de otros Mercados Familiares que continuarán este verano en el sitio web de la escuela. Consulte la página web de Kennedy para ver cuándo y dónde estará el próximo mercado.
Este jueves 13 de junio es medio día y el último día de clases para los estudiantes.
