Summer Orientation for Incoming 7th and 8th graders
Dear Rising 7th/8th Grade Parents/Guardians,
We are happy to announce our “Introduction to Middle School” summer orientation. This is a new summer course for incoming 7th/8th graders who are NEW to the Kingsview Middle School building. The course will take place on Monday, August 2nd and Tuesday, August 3rd, and will be taught by one of our former PE/Health teachers, Mr. Benjamin Minturn.
This optional course is designed for students who are very anxious about the transition to middle school building and who might benefit from a comprehensive orientation in a smaller setting over a period of two days. This program is offered in addition to our free regular grade-level orientation held the last week of August.
The course will meet for two (2) hours each day from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Transportation will NOT be provided. Parents must drop off and pick up their child each day. There is no cost for the course.
If you are interested in your child attending this course, please fill out and submit the Google registration form by Monday, July 26th. Due to its popularity, this course fills quickly! Registration is on a first-come, first- served basis. You will be notified via email by Thursday, July 29th as to your child's meeting location at Kingsview Middle School.
