New Student Orientation

PARENT REMINDER:

Our annual New Student Orientation Day will be Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 8:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Incoming 6th grade students, as well as 7th and 8th grade students who are new to the Kingsview MS building, are encouraged to participate to learn about the school and to ensure a smooth transition on the first day.

  • This is NOT a drop-in event. All students who participate will be expected to remain in school for the entire orientation.
    • MCPS buses will be running on a modified half-day schedule. This is only available for those students who are eligible to ride the MCPS bus on a regular basis. Please see attached Bus Route Information.
  • Parents can drop off their child no earlier than 8:00 a.m. and pick up their child no later than 12:15 p.m.
  • Students will receive and follow their new class schedule in their homeroom.  Please see attached Homeroom List.

RECORDATORIO:

Nuestro Día de Orientación Anual Para Nuevos Estudiantes será el jueves 22 de agosto de 2024, de 8:15 a. m. a 12:00 p. m. Se anima a los estudiantes entrantes de 6º grado, así como a los estudiantes de 7º y 8º grado que son nuevos a el edificio de Kingsview, a participar para aprender sobre la escuela y garantizar una transición sin problemas el primer día de clases.

  • Se espera que todos los estudiantes que participen permanezcan en la escuela durante toda la orientación.
  • Los autobuses de MCPS funcionarán en un horario modificado de medio día. Esto solo está disponible para aquellos estudiantes que son elegibles para viajar en el autobús de MCPS de manera regular. La information y rutas de autobús están adjunta. 
    • Los padres pueden dejar a sus hijos no antes de las 8:00 a. m. y recogerlos no más tarde de las 12:15 p. m.
  • Los estudiantes recibirán y seguirán su nuevo horario de clases en su salón de clase de "Homeroom".  La Lista de Homeroom esta adjunta.
