Book Fair!

Montgomery Knolls is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair in the Library media center from November 6-13th. Students and families can shop during school hours.

Families can shop November 12th: 4-6:30 pm before the PTA read-a-thon event.

PTA Read-a-thon November 5-12th

This event is one of two big PTA fundraisers. 

The fundraising portion of Read-A-Thon that is online at readathon.com. 

Use the classroom code to sign up for your child

To make sure every student has an opportunity to participate, there are two ways to log minutes. 
1.) They can create an account within the fundraising platform using the flyer code OR
 
2.) They can manually track it on a minute log. The PTA will print these for you to hand out to the students before the start, shooting to have them in your mailboxes by 10/30.
 
Prizes are announced at the Read-A-Thon Event - November 12th MKES 6:30-7:30pm
Prizes - 
- The 3 top students (by reading minutes) will receive a gift card to their Book Fair - thank you to our Media Specialists!  
- The top Classroom (by reading minutes) will receive a PTA sponsored popcorn party (assuming no allergies). 
- The school with the most reading minutes (MKES v PCES) wins a second FREE RECESS!

Mental Health Awareness Month!

Monday: Students will practice mindful breathing

Tuesday: Students will think about positive self talk that can help them. 

Wednesday: Students will participate in a guided meditation

Thursday: Students will draw or write a message of gratitude in chalk at recess

Friday: Pajama Day! Students can feel cozy and comfortable all day.

If you are interested in volunteering at Montgomery Knolls either as a classroom helper or as a chaperone on a field trip click on this link to find out more about how to become a volunteer. 

Montgomery Knolls Pre-Screen

Avoid long lines when you arrive at big school events! Family members on MKES students' emergency contact list can complete this form to be pre-screened for big school events.  Once you have completed the form will receive a confirmation email that you are cleared to attend the celebration. Once registered, it is good for the entire school year. You will need to sign in and show your identification.

Montgomery Knolls Bus Schedules 26-27

 

  • If your child's dismissal plan changes please communicate this to the front office and their teacher as soon as possible. It is difficult to accomodate changes in the last 30 minutes before dismissal.

 

  • Montgomery Knolls color codes their buses for ease of communication to staff, students and families. Make sure your child knows their afternoon bus  rouet,
    • Car Riders/Walkers –  As a part of our dismissal procedures, you will be assigned a pick-up number to display in the front window of your car on the passenger side or  If you are a walker, you must show a sign with your number when picking up your child. You can pick your number up during Open House or it will be sent home on the first day of school.
    Arrival/Dismissal Map - Please see the arrival and dismissal map located here for the entry and exit doors your child will use to access the building.
