    ROSE ALVAREZ, PRINCIPAL

    I am deeply honored to serve as the principal of Lakelands Park Middle School.  It is my belief that there is nothing more powerful in education than a caring adult with high expectations. By pairing authentic warmth with a tenacious insistence on challenging ourselves, we can support and motivate all students to reach great heights, heights they may not have even imagined for themselves. Together, we will nurture a caring school community with a strong sense of belonging and high expectations for everyone.

    JAEL BAEZ, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

    I am thrilled to be the new Assistant Principal for the 7th grade and continue working with the same group of amazing students I ended my teaching career with last year! My educational leadership includes three years as a Team Leader in New York City Public Schools and MCPS, and three years as a Content Specialist in English, Bilingual Studies, and Social Studies across Newark, New Brunswick, and MCPS, respectively. At the end of last year, I served as the Acting Assistant Principal for 8th grade and it was an amazing opportunity that has prepared me for this year. My diverse experiences—coupled with my unique perspective as an immigrant, Afro-Latino, and English language learner—fuel my dedication to enhancing our learning environment and supporting our vibrant school community.

    RODNEY ISABELL, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

    I am excited to be the 8th grade Assistant Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. My educational leadership includes thirty-two years as a Team Leader and School Administrator in the Garland Independent School District, Garland, Texas and MCPS and six years as a Middle School and High School Math teacher. My diverse experiences and travels fuel my hard work and dedication to enhancing our academic settings and learning environment at Lakelands Park Middle School.

    ROBERT O'DELL, ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
    Serving MCPS for many years as a Science & Social Studies teacher, Team Leader and Content Specialist, I am honored and humbled to join the Lakelands Park community as an Assistant Principal.  My work is grounded in building positive relationships among all stakeholders in our community.  Educational excellence and strong character development are goals easily achieved when the community comes together with a sense of belonging.  Lakelands Park is stronger together.
