AP exams have been ordered for all students who are enrolled in the AP Classroom for their AP course(s), unless they directly messaged me about opting out.  Now that the ordering deadline has passed, any new orders will have a late fee of $40 added to the cost of the exam.  The cost of the 2021 AP exams is $95 per exam.

Magruder will be collecting AP exam fees online in February 2021 using School Cash Online(SCO). In January, students will receive an invoice showing the total cost of their exams and which exams have been ordered for them.  Along with this invoice will be instructions for students that wish to opt out of some or all of their May exams and cancel their order.  As a reminder, there are no cancellation fees for AP exams this year.  We are not collecting any deposits and students must pay in full for all their exams by February 26, 2021 or their exam order will be cancelled and they will not be able to test in May.  Detailed instructions for how to make the online payments will be shared and the school will also offer a drive-up payment day at Magruder in February for students that need to pay by check or money order.

Students that qualify for MCPS AP Exam Fee Assistance should complete the online form linked below.  The deadline to complete this form is December 1, 2020.  Completing the form does not obligate the student to take the exam in May and they can also cancel in January if needed.  However, it is very important that students complete this form so that the invoice they receive in January reflects the correct price of $15 per exam.

At this time, the College Board is still planning to administer full-length, in-person exams covering the full content.  We expect to hear an update from the College Board in late January about the status of the May AP exams.
