Spanish Speaking Countries: La Agencia De Viajes Señora Berardi Part I and Part II
You will research the key cultural and historical sites of at least two cities in a Spanish speaking country. You will plan an exciting itinerary for yourself and for future tourists interested in traveling to the country you choose. You will prepare a brochure in order to present these places of interest that you select. You must work efficiently each day in order to put together a comprehensive plan. You will begin your research in the Computer Lab and complete the project on your own.
Part I - Be prepared to tell travelers:
- Where they should go (at least 3 specific places for each of three days)
- How they should travel (to and within the country)
- How much tickets will cost (air, train, etc., or to museums, concerts, etc.)
- What things they need to bring (clothing, documents, money).
You will be graded on your research and presentation, including the answers to questions asked of you by tourists (fellow students) who will be asking you follow-up questions. Therefore, be prepared to answer questions regarding activities that they would like to do while visiting your country such as visiting museums and beaches, going to concerts, restaurants, and shopping, alternative methods of transportation, and how much things will cost (tickets, food, souveniers). Use the following questions as a reminder of what information you need to include in a 3-day itinerary. Pay close attention in class each day as we learn something new in the travel unit that can be incorporated into your project.
(Present Tense)
- ¿Adónde vas? ¿Por muchas ciudades? (minimo de 2) (front panel)
- ¿Por cuánto tiempo es el viaje? ¿Uno o dos semanas? (#2-12 inside brochure)
- ¿Cuándo es el viaje?
- ¿Cómo vas? ¿Cómo va a llegar? ¿Y salir? (to each city and to and from each activity within each city)
(ropa, pasaporte)
- ¿Qué vas a hacer (actividades y dónde están?)
- ¿A qué hora es la actividad? (usas el reloj 24 horas!)
- ¿Hay museos y monumentos?
Part II - Your Assignment: Written en el preterito
Based on your research and unforgettable travel experience, you will send a follow-up letter to your travel agent so that they may use your favorable travel review as a reference fo future travelers. In your letter you will include information about what you found most interesting and useful. Be sure to include the following.
¿Cuando fue el viaje?
