School Supplies (updated 6/16/15)

Kindergarten

Students are encouraged to bring the following individual organizational tools & personal supplies to school:

  • Backpack large enough to hold a pocket folder and a heavy winter coat. (no wheels due to safety concerns & label with student's name)
  • Pencil Box (Please label.)
  • 4 large glue sticks - Jumbo size are less likely to dry up. (Please label packages.)
  • 2 Boxes of crayons - Large crayons tend to last longer. (Please label the boxes.)
  • Round tip scissors (Please label.)
  • 1 Sturdy pocket folder (Please label.)

The following items are welcome as donations, but are not required:

  • Facial tissues
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • Dry erase markers - black only (Expo preferred)
  • Gallon size plastic bags (for example Ziploc)
  • Sandwich size plastic bags (for example Ziploc)

First Grade

The following items are all supplies that will be helpful, but not required, for your child to have in first grade.  Please be sure to label the items with your child’s name.

  • 1 School box (hard, standard-size 8"x5" box works best)
  • Crayons (a box of 8 or 16 is easier for the students to keep organized)
  • Glue sticks (jumbo size are less likely to dry up)
  • Pencils (plain, wooden, #2 pencils, pre-sharpened preferred)
  • 1 small, plastic pencil sharpener with case to catch the shavings
  • Scissors
  • 2 - pocket folders
  • Thick Expo dry erase marker (black only)
  • One heavy duty coat hanger (to hang your backpack & coat up in the closet)

In order to help your child stay organized, please do not send any additional supplies (markers, pens, rulers, fancy erasers, etc.).  Having extra supplies often distracts students and makes their supply boxes difficult to manage.

We will be sending home your child's school box at the end of each quarter.  Please take the time to check the supplies and replenish any missing items.

  • Gallon-size or sandwich size Ziploc bags

Second Grade

Students are encouraged to bring the following individual organizational tools and personal supplies to school:

  • 1 school box
  • 1 large eraser
  • 24 - box of crayons
  • Glue sticks (jumbo size are less likely to dry up)
  • 12 Pencils – no mechanical pencils please
  • 1 Pair of scissors
  • 2 Marble composition books (100 pages – no spirals please)
  • 3 Pocket folders (yellow, green, and red) These will be used for organizing math, reading, and writing.
  • low odor, dry erase markers

Please do not send any additional supplies (markers, pens, rulers, fancy erasers, etc.)  Having extra supplies often distracts students and makes their supply boxes difficult to manage.

Third Grade

Students are encouraged to bring the following individual organizational tools and personal supplies to school.

  • 1 inch binder
  • 1 set of section dividers (5 tabs). Please label them: Reading, Math, Writing, Science, Social Studies.
  • 4-two pocket folders (2 Blue, 1 Yellow, 1 Green)
  • 2 red 2-pocket folders with 3 prongs
  • 1 box of 8-10 washable markers
  • 1 box of 24 yellow #2 wooden pencils (pre-sharpened preferred)
  • 2 marbled composition notebooks
  • 4 glue sticks
  • 2 Expo dry erase markers (Black)
  • 1 pencil bag (pencil boxes do not fit in the desks)

The following items are welcome as donations but are not required:

  • Tissues
  • Sanitizing wipes
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Sandwich size Ziploc storage bags

Fourth Grade

Students are encouraged to bring the following individual organizational tools and personal supplies to school:

  • 1 two or three inch 3-ring binder (No Trapper Keepers, please)
  • 1 package of tabbed dividers (We suggest at least 5  tabs that are write-on.) 
  • 4 composition books - no spirals please
  • 1 package of wide-ruled, lined notebook paper
  • 24 pre-sharpened #2 pencils & erasers. (Please replenish pencils throughout the year as needed.)
  • 5 - 2-pocket folders (We suggest red, blue, green, orange and yellow.)
  • 2  dry erase markers & eraser
  • crayons or colored pencils (24 or 48 pack)
  • Scissors
  • glue sticks (Large size are less likely to dry up.)
  • assorted colored highlighters
  • school supply box or pouch
  • packages of 3"x3" sticky notes

Below is a list of classroom supplies that are frequently used in your child's classroom and are welcome donations, but are not required:

  • Tissues 
  • Ziploc bags (sandwich and/or gallon sizes) 
  • Hand sanitizer 
  • Disinfectant wipes 

Fifth Grade

Students are encouraged to bring the following individual organizational tools and personal supplies to school:

  • 3 ring loose leaf binder with metal rings – 2 or 3 inch
  • headphones or earbuds (for use with Chromebooks)
  • Wide-ruled lined notebook paper
  • 2 packs of subject dividers - Please do not label these before school starts. We will do this together.
  • #2 pencils and erasers (Please be prepared to replenish pencils every quarter.)
  • 4 spiral subject notebooks (75-100 pages) Individual notebooks, not 3 subject notebooks.
  • 4 pocket folders
  • 1 (3-ringed) pencil pouch - to keep supplies in their binder.
  • 1 pencil pouch or school supply box (for their desk)
  • Scissors
  • Colored pencils or crayons
  • Blue and red pens
  • Glue stick (large size are less likely to dry up)

Donations of the following supplies are welcome, but not required:
