      The first two lessons of an online professional development activity are freely available to all teachers. These lessons give some great tips for planning for the use of technology in instruction.
    • Education World- Technology Center
      Education World offers a variety of articles and resources to support technology integration, including a searchable database of over 50,000 web sites of interest to teachers. You will find practical ideas from teachers, lesson suggestions, links to tutorials, trouble shooting tips and research from leaders in technology and education. The site is updated weekly with new tips, articles and links.

      Looking for a "handout" about a software application used in MCPS? How about a lesson plan that integrates technology into MCPS curriculum? This is the place to look!
    • Teacher's First
      Use the Content Matrix under Classroom Resources to locate websites others have found useful in supporting classroom instruction. The Professional Resources has some great resources as well.
    • Thinkport- Technology Channel
      Thinkport brings all sorts of resources to teachers in Maryland from the JHU Center for Technology in Education and Maryland Public Telelvision. The Technology Channel includes a glossary of terms, profiles of teachers making an impact with technology and many ideas of how you can incorporate technology into your teaching.
    • Track Star
      TrackStar helps instructors organize and annotate Web sites (URLs) for use in lessons. The resource list remains visible allowing the user to easily stay on track. You can look at Tracks created by other teachers or easily create your own. You must register, but there is no fee. Click on the Tutorial and FAQ sections to learn more.
    • WebQuest Page
      Bernie Dodge is the "Father of the Webquest". Take a look at his page to learn about what a webquest is. There are links to hundreds of grade/subject level examples.
