Rachel Carson Elementary School

The Rachel Carson Elementary School was built in 1990. In 2012 we were named a National Blue Ribbon School. We currently house 975 students in grades Pre-K through 5 from the residential communities of: Governor’s Square Apartments, Kentlands, Lakelands, The Orchards, Orchard Knolls, and Potomac Valley. We have 100 staff dedicated to the children of Rachel Carson and a strong belief that all children can learn!
