Ms. Cahalan, Ms. Platz, Ms. Babcock, Ms. Seidman, Ms. Olsen & Ms. Bryson (team lead)

Marty Babcock: I am a mom to two: my son is at the Coast Guard Academy and my daughter is a senior at Walter Johnson HS. I am starting my 7th year as an English Language Development Teacher at Rock View. I love supporting students who come from other parts of the world and/or speak other languages. They bring so many assets to our school! I love traveling to new places and trying new things. I just got scuba certified this summer and hope to scuba in different parts of the world in the future.

Meghan Bryson (Team Lead): Mrs. Bryson is proud to be entering her 5th year at Rock View, her 9th year in MCPS and her 15th year as an elementary ELD teacher. This year, you will find Mrs. Bryson co-teaching in almost all of our kindergarten classes. She loves mixing learning with fun. When Mrs. Bryson is not at work, she enjoys road tripping with her husband and two sons or relaxing with a good puzzle.

Christy Cahalan: My name is Ms. Cahalan! I have been at Rock View Elementary School for 5 years. This year I am enjoying learning about ancient civilizations along with the second graders. I love reading novels and bird watching!

Michelle Olsen:

Samantha Platz: Hola! I am Samantha Platz, ELD teacher at Rock View. I enjoy learning new languages and working with children. I love helping multilingual learners develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English.

Carrie Seidman: Greetings! I’m Carrie Seidman, ELD teacher, and this is my 8th year at RVES. I love working with our multilingual learners and seeing them blossom and learn.
