Mission
The mission of Rockville High School is to prepare students for the challenges and expectations of careers and college readiness by the implementation of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) through English Language Arts and Literacy and (STEM) science, technology, engineering and mathematics content.

Programs of Study (POS)
Courses in the Programs of Study may be taken as part of a program or as an elective. These courses are open to all students.

Important Dates
- January 9 and 10, 2025 -
- Course registration overview and graduation requirements review through all science classes
- Printed copies of the grade-level registration card distributed through all second period classes. Students should share the registration cards and review with parents to plan for course selection. Parents should review the registration card selections with their student and sign the registration card.
- January 9, 2025 - Electives and AP/IB Courses Fair at lunch in the first and second floor hallways. All students are invited to visit tables and learn more about these courses. (If there is a delay or closure on Jan. 9, the Fair will shift to Fri., Jan. 10, 2025 at lunch.)
- January 15, 2025 - Course registration and selection of classes for the 2025-26 school year in Synergy during Wellness Block 3 (if they have not already completed course selection on their own). Students will turn in their printed course registration/selection cards.
- January 15-28, 2025 - Counselors meet with students individually via Science classes to discuss courses, graduation requirements, testing, SSL hours needed, etc., and to answer remaining questions.
The meeting for parents/caretakers of rising 9th graders (current 8th graders) has been moved to next Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 7:30pm in the auditorium.
