CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) PROGRAMS AT SENECA VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL
Seneca Valley High School offers ten career related programs and fifteen pathways! Most pathways are designed so that students begin in 9th grade or 11th grade. Please review the information below and follow the links to the programs for more details.
PART TIME CAREER & TECHNICAL PROGRAMS
These programs allow students who live outside of the Seneca Valley High School boundary to participate in one of five college and career programs while remaining enrolled at their base school. Depending on specific program guidelines, current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students who live within the following high school clusters: Clarksburg, Damascus, Gaithersburg, Magruder, Northwest, Poolesville, Quince Orchard, and Watkins Mill must apply to be admitted into these programs.

REGIONAL CAREER & TECHNICAL PROGRAMS
These programs allow students who live outside of the Seneca Valley High School boundary to participate in one of five college and career programs. Eighth grade students who live in the following high school clusters: Clarksburg, Damascus, Gaithersburg, Northwest, Poolesville, Quince Orchard, Seneca Valley, Watkins Mill, and Magruder may apply for these programs. Invited students will begin the program in 9th grade and take all of their courses at Seneca Valley. If Seneca Valley is the base school, students should still select their preferred programs when completing their high school application in 8th grade.

SENECA VALLEY CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS
These high demand career and technical programs are open to all Seneca Valley High School students. Regional students may participate in any of these programs as long as they remain in the program to which they were invited. These exciting and innovative four year career related experiences extend beyond the classroom to enrichment opportunities during and outside of the school day. Most of the programs culminate in opportunities for college credit or industry certifications.
