Parent Coffee & Chat
At Twinbrook Elementary, we strive to ensure that we partner with our parents, and community members. We know that by working together, academic achievement occurs for our students, and your child. The Coffee Chat sessions aims to provide current research in parenting and child development, as well as parent education curriculum sessions as a means to more deeply involve each parent in their child’s educational experiences. One of the goals of the Coffee Chat sessions is to provide a glimpse into the intentional instructional practices we use and the research behind our curriculum selections and other relevant topics.
We invite you to take part in our monthly Parent Coffee Chat! In an effort to serve and connect our Spanish-speaking audience, we make sure to provide you with simultaneous Spanish interpretation.
Please know that other language interpreters can be arranged upon previous requests. Please contact Mr. Gonzalo M. Guiroga, Parent Community Coordinator, Gonzalo_M_Quiroga@mcpsmd.org
During these monthly one-hour chats, we listen to your opinions, thoughts, and ideas on how to further improve our school. We also keep you updated on the progress of initiatives that are being implemented at Twinbrook. Topics in the past have included Title I resources, district policies, staffing changes, our reading program, and curriculum!
