Viers Mill Elementary School

Good afternoon, Viers Mill families! This is Mr. Hawkins, Principal of Viers Mill Elementary School, with our weekly Sunday message. Through three marking periods, we continue to see high absence rates for many students for both excused and unexcused reasons. Attending school each day is critical so that your child does not miss out on and fall behind with their learning. Our goal for this school year has been for students to miss 12 or less days of school. A student is considered "chronically absent" on their permanent records once they reach 18 absences (including excused absences).
