Join us for this free and fun event with your family for an evening filled with cultural displays, food, performances celebrating the diversity of our incredible community! We need your support to make this festival a success. Ways to help: Simply attend and have fun Host a Country/Region/State Display- Share food samples, artifacts, traditional games, or craft projects. Fashion Show - Wear and showcase traditional attire from your heritage or represent a country with a dress from our collection (see google form). Perform - Dance, sing, or other performance to celebrate your culture! Let's come together to celebrate, learn, and embrace the rich cultural diversity of our community! Rainbow Rines annual fundraiser and spirit week
We will be setting up in the mixing bowl throughout the week to take donations for the Day of Silence, to educate the community on the significance of the day, and recruit student volunteers to participate in the Day of Silence. We are also going to ask all students to sign a class t-shirt to show their support for the LGBTQ community members. The Watkins Mill Child Development Preschool is now enrolling for the 2025/2026 school year. The program will run Mon-Thursday from 8-11 a.m. from October through May. Montgomery County Career Advisory Program (MoCo CAP)
At WMHS, we are proud to partner with the Montgomery County Career Advising Program (MoCo CAP) to empower students in planning their futures. Through this initiative, we encourage students to engage in early career conversations, helping them explore their interests, identify opportunities, and gain a clearer understanding of the steps they need to take to achieve their goals. These conversations are vital in building confidence and setting a foundation for success beyond high school. The Cluster Projects are a joint effort between the Department of Health and Human Services, (MCDHHS), Montgomery County Public Schools, (MCPS), and other County agencies focused on maintaining and increasing stability for students whose families are in need of support.
