The MYP Summer Exploration is a series of three activities connected to a theme. This year’s theme is Planet vs. Plastics. The purpose of the exploration is to encourage lifelong learning, critical thinking, and responsible global citizenship as students build Learner Profile traits and Approaches to Learning skills as members of an IB World School.

The MYP Summer Exploration is now available as an assignment on the West MS Classroom All three parts are due on September 25, 2024.

The assignment is required for rising seventh and eighth grade students and optional for rising sixth grade students. All students who fully complete the assignment will earn 3 hours of Student Service Learning (SSL). Rising seventh and eighth grades students will also earn completion credit through their English class in September 2024.
