WWHS Mission 

Walt Whitman High School will work in partnership with students and caregivers to create an equitable, liberating and empowering education for all students, regardless of disability, race, faith, gender identity, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status. As we build empathy and reflect regularly on bias, we will hold each other accountable and develop a broadened awareness that leads to civic responsibility and positive change.

Summer School Information SY 24-25

MCPS Summer School Summer School 2025 focuses primarily on high school students who need to earn credits toward graduation. In-person and Virtual High School Summer School Programs will be offered this year. Students who are taking courses for original credit and students retaking courses to improve original grades earned will have to pay tuition. Students retaking required graduation courses for credit recovery to replace a failing grade will not have to pay.
