The WJ World Languages Department offers courses in Chinese, French, Italian, Latin, and Spanish.

Knowledge of another language has great benefits. By learning the roots of words and new vocabulary, your reading will improve. Also, since America is quickly growing as a multicultural society, a second language will allow you to communicate with more people in your future career, making you more valuable to employers.

Most importantly, learning another language broadens our understanding of other cultures and makes us realize the influence other cultures have on us. Another language also helps us understand our own culture better as we compare the similarities and differences between another culture and our own.
