WJ Spanish Honor Society

Purpose: The goal of the Spanish Honor Society is to promote interest and understanding of Spanish and the Spanish-speaking world. The Spanish Honor Society recognizes students who are academically talented in the Spanish Language.

To be selected for membership in the SHS, you must: 

-Be enrolled in Honors Spanish 4 or higher at the time of application.  

-Have at least a 3.5 average in Spanish. (91/100)  

 

To remain as a member in the SHS, you must:

-Attend at least 75% of the Spanish Honor Society meetings on the first Thursday of every month at lunch.

-Complete at least 75% of the assignments/activities assigned and meet the requirements.

-Have at least a 3.5 average in Spanish.  (91/100) 

 

Seniors, to receive the cords at graduation, you must:

-Be taking AP Spanish or Spanish 5 your senior year or have taken AP prior to your senior year.  

-Have taken at least two years of Spanish in a row (Spanish 4 and above)   

-Have at least a 3.5 average in Spanish.  (91/100)

-Met the requirements of two lunch-time tutoring sessions in your senior year, completion of at least 75% of the SHS assignments, and at least 75% of meeting attendance.
