Click
here
to go to the
links for the religious groups. Choose four groups
that interest you from the list provided. You may
want to browse through several before you make your
decision. Remember that you will have to use your
"Back" button to come back to this
activity.

|
Browse around the web
sites of the groups you chose. Some good places to
look are any buttons that say "About Us" or
"Beliefs" or anything that points you toward what
that group believes and how they live their
lives.

|
Take notes on the
assigned subjects. If there are other details that
are interesting to you, they will probably be
interesting to your classmates, so include them!
Remember that the goal is to learn what these
groups believe and practice. Click
here for a
printable table in Word for
note-taking.

When you finish
browsing and taking notes on the four groups, get
together with three or four classmates and share
what you have learned. If you studied the same
group as another person, see if you found similar
information. If you studied different groups than
your friends, share what you thought was most
interesting about the groups you researched. Listen
carefully to what they tell you about the groups
they researched.

Create a graphic
organizer that compares and contrasts the groups
you chose to each other and to other Christian
beliefs. It will be useful to have separate
sections in your graphic organizer that address the
different issues you read about.
