The Emergency Child Care Fund is intended to support supporting services staff members dealing with an emergency break in their regular child care arrangements or situations where care they have paid for is unavailable. The fund is meant to help you continue working during these small breaks of care by ensuring that your child is in a safe and healthy child care situation. Members of the SEIU Local 500 Supporting Service bargaining unit are eligible for partial child care reimbursement if they are scheduled to work and have shown up for work during that time.

You can apply for reimbursement for the cost of care for up to 5 days and for multiple children. Your child care providers must be licensed by the state. Other restrictions may apply.
