The Centralized Investment Fund (CIF) provides a vehicle for schools to invest funds that may not be needed in the next thirty days in order to achieve a greater rate of return while protecting principal. Established in 1981, the fund is governed by an Advisory Council made up of representatives from participating schools.
Interest and expenses are posted to individual school accounts each month. There are no minimum deposits or required minimum balances. Interest is earned from the day of deposit to the day of withdrawal. Funds are available when needed.
