The EAP offers workshops for employees on a variety of topics to support mental health, well-being, and professional development. Workshop topics can include:

The EAP office offers virtual workshops throughout the year on PDO for supporting services professionals, administrative and supervisory professionals, and workshops that are open to all employees. View upcoming workshops below and register on PDO:

  • January 15, 2025 from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m.: Frost & Flourish: Boosting Your Well-Being This Winter: A new season signals a time of change and it can be helpful to assess your well-being. During this session you will identify and practice strategies to nurture your well-being this winter. Register on PDO Course #92972 Section #139787 for Support Staff Professionals (SPT10).
  • January 29, 2025 from 12:00–1:00 p.m.: Cultivating Psychological Safety. During Session 2 of the EAP Professional Development Series for Leaders, participants will explore what contributes to a psychologically safe workplace and identify strategies to cultivate psychological safety at their worksite. Psychological safety is not a “check-the-box” or “one-and-done” event; it involves conscious, intentional leading while encouraging a growth mindset.   • February 5 2025 from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.: Mindfulness How to Be More Present:

    We all lead busy lives and it can be difficult to stay in the present moment when thinking about the past or worrying about the future. Participants will explore the benefits of mindfulness, engage in a variety of mindful activities, and learn how to start a personal mindfulness practice.   • March 25, 2025 from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.: Generational Dynamics in Communication Styles: Navigating Generational Diversity for Effective Communication Part 1: In this two-part series with the Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County, participants will gain insights into leveraging generational strengths, managing change effectively, and honing active listening skills to enhance their professional growth and contribute to a thriving workplace environment.   • March 31, 2025 from 1:00–2:00 p.m.: Non-Defensive Communication with Employees. During Session 3 of the EAP Professional Development Series for Leaders, participants will explore and practice non-defensive strategies to communicate with employees. Non-defensive communication involves being curious, asking questions, and making statements without trying to control how others respond. This valuable approach can enhance clear communication with staff and encourage accountability. Course #92918 for administrative and supervisory staff.
