Montgomery County Police Sports Club
The Police Sports Club is a community engagement program that aims to create a cohesive community between MCPS and MCPD. The PSC is open to 4th and 5th grade students.

Police Sports Club (PSC) Competitive Sports Outline
1. The competitive PSC will run all school year in three seasons: Fall, Winter, Spring and the end of year final championship game (final tournament between season champions)
2. Wins and losses will be recorded for regular in-season games, and key player statistics will be tracked.
3. All game outcomes will be decided by points scored OR by the team with the higher score after time expires.
4. Each season will have regular in-season play, Group Play and the Championship Tournament.
5. Primarily, competitive PSC Elementary school regular in-season games will be played during school recess.
6. Competitive PSC Middle school regular in-season games will vary by school request.
7. Each school will be placed into a group (A, AA, AAA) for what will be called “Group Play”. Group play is a series of games between the schools in a particular group These games may be offsite (recreation center).
8. The team with the most wins in every school will represent their school in Group play against the other school’s best
9. A group champion will be crowned every season, and the winning school will enter the championship tournament as a high seed and each school can send in their “best”.
10. Ofc Custis, or a community engagement officer will check-in at the school with school admin via PSC confirmation sheet to confirm if a PSC game can take place. This will happen 1hour 30 minutes prior to scheduled recess. (Minimizes chances of student disappointment. Also, this is to accommodate for attendance)
11. The PSC Confirmation sheet will list a MCPD Officer name and names of the teams that will be competing on that day. Gameday is confirmed after school administration confirms.
12. Community Engagement Officers, School Admin Team and any listed endorser will set the prerequisites and standards for students to remain in the program and or participate in games or events.
