Good evening Galway Families,
We had another great week at Galway Elementary.  Please stay safe and take care in this weather.  Thanks to the PTA for supporting staff with treats this week.  Thanks to the Week of Service Committee, SGA, and MSP for their work with the food drive.  Thanks to Mr. Clark, Ms. Ward, Ms. Mitchell, Ms. Ofumbi, Ms. Akibo-Betts, and Mr. Gibbs for their leadership.

The message from MCPS this afternoon:
CODE RED – All MCPS schools and offices are closed Monday, January 26, AND Tuesday, January 27
As you might expect…It’s A Snow Day (two of them)!  Check out this fun video to announce our status.
Given current inclement weather conditions and the time expected to complete snow and ice removal, 

MCPS is operating under CODE RED for Monday, January 26 AND Tuesday, January 27.

• All schools and offices are closed on Monday, January 26 AND Tuesday, January 27
• Emergency personnel report as directed
• All activities, field trips, and programs in schools and on school grounds are canceled, including athletic practices and events
• All childcare programs and community use activities are canceled
• Staff training scheduled for Monday and/or Tuesday will be canceled or rescheduled for a later date
• Information about grading deadlines and grade reporting will be shared later this week

We will provide an update for Wednesday’s operational status on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
