Ryan McNavage will model the new system for parents from 5:30-6:20.
Computers will be available during 1st, 2nd and 4th periods to try the new system and receive one-on-one assistance as needed.

Register For the PSAT
Attention junior students and parents:
PSATs will take place on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 beginning at 7:45 a.m. The test will only be offered once and there is no make-up date for students who are late or absent from school.
The PSAT registration window is open now and it will close on October 4, 2018. Students in 11th grade have the opportunity to enter the National Merit Scholarship Corporation competition and other scholarship and recognition programs.Deadline for payment is Thursday, October 4, 2018. Host Families Needed For French Exchange Students
Northwood High School is hosting 12 students from France from October 27 – Nov 3, 2018.

Your participation as a host family:
- Bring students to school daily (or they take transportation with your student)
- Pick them up after activities
- Be flexible as the students will be attending several afternoon activities
- Provide a BED for the student
- Provide meals (except lunch, which NHS will provide during school days)
- A SMALL stipend will be provided to you to cover meals and transportation costs (be aware there will be some delay as funds have to come from French government)

Apply For the ACES Program
Attention ALL 10th grade families in the Class of 2021!
Is your 10th grader going to be the first in your family to attend college in the United States? Are you worried about paying for college and whether your child will be ready for the next challenges of college? Then encourage your child to apply to the Achieving Collegiate Excellence & Success (ACES) program, a partnership between Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), Montgomery College (MC), and the Universities of Shady Grove (USG).
The ACES program will help your child value responsibility, be independent, and never give up. Your child will receive a personal Academic Coach who will establish a one-on-one relationship and provide academic and college planning workshops. Ultimately, we expect excellence from ACES students and will work with your child closely as they work to achieve their goals and be successful in high school, college, and beyond.

The Transitioning Youth Resource Fair is open to students and young adults with disabilities and their families. It will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p. m. on the Montgomery College Rockville campus.

Saturday School Registration
The George B. Thomas Sr. Learning Academy, Inc., Saturday School provides academic tutoring and mentoring support for students in grades K-12 in Montgomery County. Sessions for the new school year begin on September 15, 2018.
