Burnt Mills is hosting its annual Multicultural Festival on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 11am-3pm.

If students are going to have endless possibilities in school and life, they need ongoing, extended learning opportunities to practice and help them get better, especially during the summer months. This year, we are offering a wonderful summer learning program for our students called EXCEL Summer School Program.

Burnt Mills 1st Annual Walkathon

Burnt Mills Elementary School recognizes Every Kid Healthy Week during the last week of April (April 25-29, 2016). During the observance, we will host the first annual “Every Kid Healthy BMES Walkathon” Fundraiser! The one-day walkathon fundraiser will encourage students to eat better, be active every day, and foster school spirit and fun. We will walk an identified route in the Burnt Mills neighborhood (TBA).

Beginner After School French Class for Students

BMES is offering Beginner French classes after school through a non-profit organization called Foreign Language in Elementary Schools - Big Learning (FLES).  Classes will begin on Tuesday, December 8 and continue for the next 12 weeks on Tuesdays (only when school is open, not during holidays).  It will be held at the school from 4:15 – 5:15pm.
